安赫尔-戈麦斯出自曼联青训，现在在里尔效力。在法甲首轮兰斯对阵里尔的比赛中，安赫尔-戈麦斯在与对方中场球员阿马杜-科内发生激烈碰撞后倒在草坪上晕厥。

戈麦斯在场上被急救后被送往医院，随后里尔证实球员已经恢复了意识。曼联官推转发了这一消息，并写道：“为戈麦斯送去关爱和力量，他在为里尔踢球时发生碰撞，现已被送往医院，我们都心系着安赫尔。”
